...I have a cell phone, it doesn't mean I have to answer when you call...
...a text message will tell me what you want and doesn't give me the option to not answer a call, doesn't mean I have to respond to your text message...
...my cell phone lets me know you've emailed me, doesn't mean I have to respond...
sometimes I want to eat dinner without interruption...
sometimes I want to enjoy my evening without thinking about work...
sometimes I want to leave technology at the door...
...although, if I really believed that I would have...
...turned my cell phone off...
...not replied to the text message...
...never read the email to begin with...
Just because the world has changed, and people think that if they call your cell phone you have to answer, or if they text message you, you should answer, or emails should be taken care of after 5 and before 9, does it mean we have to adhere to it?
Imagine if we suddenly found ourselves unable to contact someone until when they show up tomorrow morning, would what we want to know really be all that important??
I guess progress is something that has it's pros and cons... just a thought
